Playa del Carmen's Beach

Hard to explain the C.S.O.M. Is it cerebral , emotional or just sensual. The plane door opens you feel the heat, you inhale the ocean air, it wraps around you like the sensual embrace of a lover you've lusted for and finally have. I'll show you mine if you show me yours. That is my list of the sensual treats I indulge in when in Cancun and the Mayan Riviera.

Why? Simple to maintain a C.S.O.M. Soothing, refreshing and renewing like another one of my favorite Cancun rituals-a massage on the beach or on my balcony overlooking the Caribbean with only the rhythm of the waves and the wind moving the air.

Roots Jazz Bar is located in downtown Cancun off Tulum and Tulipanes, adjacent to Palapala park (where the annual international jazz fest is held).

A world class flamenco guitarist name Juan D'Anyelica and his band play a fusion of jazz and flamenco music that is wonderful. Juan plays most Fridays and Saturdays and starts at 9:30 or 10 PM.

The cousine is a pleasant mix of Mediterranean Pasta, seafood and good steaks at reasonable prices. Take a walk on a clear night with a full-moon on the walking trail adjacent to the beach near Punta Cancun behind the Camino Real Hotel. You will see the Caribbean shimmering like a jewel with waves crashing on the reef below.

A simple treat- fresh fish served under a palapa in a small restaurant just a 100 meters north of Blue Bay Marina, Punta Sam. Your table is a couple feet from the Caribbean.

Isla Mujeres

Sail over to Isla Mujeres. If you want to enjoy specatular views and great food. Have your captain drop you off at Villa Rolandi. V.Rolandi is located on the beach in the middle of the island on the west side of the island. Great Italian, Mediiterranean and seafood.

A horseback ride in the surf and a seaside lunch is the perfect afternoon for many. Personally I'll take a Harley over a horse. The horse had one speed- wide open. Now I like speed but not on top of a 4-legged animal that I don't know. My girlfriend rode like a pro, I survived- pride bruised but body fine.

Rent a motor scooter or golf-cart for the day-drive around the outer island road the only road the runs around the entire island. Bring a day pack with sunscreen and water.

Go To Villa Rolandi Restaurant for spectacular (expensive but great value) dining with the best view on Isle. Sip after- dinner drinks by the pool. Tell George the manager, Jim says hi.

Stop At Garraffon National Park ride the "Zip Line" big fun.

Home go back to Coco Beach spread a blanket on the sand, hug your lover and a margaritas as the sun goes down. Sing to yourself the line "now I know how
heaven feels.

Stand up and Yell "I'm not going Home". Its ok, the locals are used to hearing it. Sit back down on your blanket and sing or hum "now I know how heaven feels".
